Accessibility
Buying a tire should not require good eyesight, a steady hand or a mouse. Here is what we have done, honestly, and what we have not.
How to reach a person
The fastest way to reach us about anything on this page is the shop phone. It rings at the shop, not a call center.
(619) 349-3303The shop has not published an email address yet, so please call. Once there is one, it will be listed here.
The standard we build to
This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
That is a target we design and test against, not a certificate. No independent audit has been done, so this page says what was built rather than claiming compliance.
What is built in
- One H1 per page and headings that go in order, so a screen reader can skim the page structure.
- Every control reachable and operable with the keyboard alone, with a visible orange focus ring that is never removed.
- A skip link to the main content as the first thing you reach with the Tab key.
- Buttons, links and form controls at least 44 by 44 pixels, so they can be hit with a thumb or a shaky hand.
- Text at normal contrast against dark backgrounds, with body text set at readable sizes that respond to your browser's zoom and text-size settings.
- Alt text on every photo, written from what is actually visible in that frame — not the file name, not a keyword list.
- Form fields with real labels, errors announced to screen readers, and error messages that say what to do rather than just 'invalid'.
- Information never carried by colour alone: tread depth is a number as well as a gauge, and stock status is words as well as a dot.
- Animation that respects your system's Reduce Motion setting — turn it on and the site stops moving.
- Correct language attributes on both versions of the site, so a screen reader pronounces Spanish as Spanish and English as English.
- Tire sizes, prices and tread depths set in tabular figures so they line up and are easier to compare.
Where we know we fall short
- The photographs currently on the site came from the shop's own Instagram at 640 pixels wide. They are small, and detail such as a DOT stamp can be hard to make out when zoomed. Full-resolution originals are coming.
- Links to Google Maps, Apple Maps and Instagram lead to sites we do not control and cannot fix.
- No independent accessibility audit has been carried out, and this site has not been tested with every combination of screen reader and browser.
If something on this site blocks you
Tell us and we will fix it — and in the meantime we will get you your tire over the phone. Call (619) 349-3303.
It helps if you can say which page you were on and what happened, but do not worry about being technical. 'The size box would not let me type' is exactly enough.

At the shop itself
This page is about the website. We have not published claims about the physical accessibility of the shop — the parking, the entrance, the counter — because nobody has measured it.
