New Tires in Chula Vista, CA

New tires ordered and fitted in the size, load index and speed rating your vehicle calls for, at one shop on Main St.

What actually happens

Buying a new tire is four separate things: reading the specification, sourcing it, mounting it, and putting it back on the car. Here is each one.

01

The specification is read, not guessed

A tire size is a string like 245/45R18 — width, aspect ratio and wheel diameter — followed by a load index and a speed rating. The placard inside your driver's door lists what the vehicle was built for. A tire that matches the first three numbers but not the load index is a different tire.

02

The shop says what it can get

This site does not publish a brand list, because which brands are stocked has not been verified for publication. Call with the size off your sidewall or placard and you get a straight answer about what is available in that specification.

03

The old tire comes off the wheel

The wheel comes off the vehicle, both beads are broken on a tire machine and the old tire is pulled off the rim. The bead seats on the wheel are cleaned so the new tire seals against bare metal rather than against old rubber and corrosion.

04

The new tire is mounted and inflated

The new tire is mounted, both beads are seated, and it is inflated to the pressure printed on the door placard — the vehicle's figure, not the maximum pressure stamped on the tire sidewall, which is a limit and not a recommendation.

05

It is balanced, then torqued back on

The assembly is balanced before it goes back on the vehicle, and the lug nuts are tightened in a star pattern to a torque figure rather than by feel. Lug nuts are worth having re-checked after a short distance on any fresh install.

  • Full tread depth from the first mile
  • Manufacturer warranty where the maker offers one on that model
  • The widest choice of size, season type and speed rating

What this page does not tell you

No price, no brand list, no fitting time and no warranty terms appear here, because none of them have been confirmed for publication. Ask on the phone and you get the real figures instead of a range invented for a web page.

Matching size is a starting point, not a fitment guarantee. Load index, speed rating and your vehicle's door placard all matter — we confirm fitment at the shop before installing.

Questions about new tires

Do I have to buy four?

No. New tires are sold as singles, pairs and sets. Whether replacing fewer than four is a good idea for your vehicle depends on how worn the remaining tires are and whether the vehicle is all-wheel drive — say what is on the car when you call and you will get a straight answer.

Which brands do you carry?

This site does not publish a brand list, because it has not been verified. That is deliberate: a list here that turned out to be wrong would waste your drive. Call with your size and ask what can be had in it.

What does a new tire cost?

No prices are published on this site. Price depends on the size and the specific tire, and mounting, balancing and disposal are quoted at the counter. Send a quote request with your size, or call.

Is there a warranty?

Where a manufacturer offers a warranty on a model, that warranty comes from the manufacturer and its terms are theirs. The shop has not confirmed a warranty of its own for publication, so this site does not claim one.

Can I bring my own tires to be fitted?

Installation is a service the shop has confirmed it does. Whether it fits tires bought elsewhere, and on what terms, has not been confirmed for publication — call and ask before you buy tires on that assumption.

New or used for my car?

New tires give you full tread depth and the widest choice of specification. Used tires cost less and are listed here with measured tread depth and a DOT date so you can judge what you are getting. The tire guide compares the two in detail.

Where do I find my tire size?

It's printed on the sidewall of the tire you already have, and again on the sticker inside the driver's door.

The door placard shows the size your vehicle's manufacturer specified. If the tire on the car doesn't match it, bring us both numbers.

Not sure you're reading it right? Take a photo of the sidewall and send it with your quote request — we'll read it for you.
